If you e-filed a tax return through TaxZerone, you can easily check its status by following the steps below:
- Sign in to your TaxZerone account.
- Navigate to the dashboard for the specific form you filed (e.g., Excise forms dashboard for Form 2290)
- Locate the return in the list and you will see its status.
The possible statuses are:
- In progress: You are yet to complete and transmit the return
- Transmitted: The return has been transmitted to the IRS and currently being processed.
- Accepted: The IRS has accepted the return
- Rejected: The IRS has rejected the return due to errors
For returns that are accepted, you can download a copy of the return along with the official IRS acknowledgment letter.
